We partnered with the company Kichiri and established, international designer Eiichi Maruyama from Odeons who created the standard designs for the Kichiri franchise in Japan. As their trusted local design company, we adjusted the Japanese concept to the conditions of the Indonesian market and also handled the design optimization on-site. Taking into account Maruyama’s designs, Liquid ended up with a perfect balance of both Japanese and Indonesian designs for Ishigamaya, resulting in a grand and classy look for the restaurant thanks to its chandeliers, black shiny walls and high windows.
A similar project under Ishigamaya, Chavaty is a dessert house famous for its Japanese milk tea products and scones. This was also Chavaty’s first opening ever outside of Japan, bringing the nuances of a dessert house in Omotesando to Jakarta.
Odeons created a linking concept for both of these Japanese outlets. With just 56 square meters of space, Chavaty is small and minimalistic but also warm and comfortable. The “tea with milk” concept in the nicely-lit, all-white surrounding of the place gives a pleasant atmosphere for any visitors who come by.
